Pyranometers are sensors for measuring global and/or diffuse radiation. They are used all over the world, in meteorology, hydrology, climate research, for recording solar radiation, for material testing, for monitoring greenhouses, in building automation, to name just a few. In photovoltaics, pyranometers are used especially in research and development and in large-scale PV systems.
It is equipped as standard with a spirit level and corresponding adjustment screws, is individually calibrated and supplied with a calibration certificate. The pyranometer does not require a power supply! It provides a small output signal of 0 to 20 mV proportional to the incoming radiation.
